CHROME & NICKEL/CHROME PLATING Northlake offers a full line of plating services to meet the most demanding applications in the fluid power industry. Hard Chrome plating is available in common thicknesses of .0005" and .001" mininum per side or heavier, depending on the application. We have supplied cylinder rods with as much as .007" chrome plating per side.
We can also provide Nickel or Chrome plated hydraulic cylinder rods, bars and tubes for use in severe environments such as off shore drilling rigs or heavy construction equipment. This added corrosion protection extends the useful life of these products and is often a cost-effective solution.
PRODUCTS
All of Northlakes' products can be supplied with Hard Chrome, Nickel or Chrome plating. This includes sizes as small as 1/2" or as large as 13" in lengths to 43'. We offer a full line of C-P-O (Chrome Plated Only) and IH-CP (Induction Hardened + Chrome Plated) products as well as Nickel or Chrome plating for harsh environments. We can supply these products ready for your machining or complete to your print. And don't forget that we can Selectively Harden to your specifications, leaving machined areas soft and unplated saving you time and money.
